Fact Check: This Image of Vijay Mallya and Supriya Shrinate Is AI-Generated

New Delhi (Vishvas News). Following his recent podcast with Raj Shamani, fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya has once again been in the news. Now, an image has gone viral on social media where he can be seen sitting with Congress leader Supriya Shrinate. Many users are sharing this. Many users are sharing this image, believing it to be real.
Vishvas News investigated the viral claim and found it to be false. The image in question is not real but an AI-generated one.
What is going viral?
X user Santosh Singh shared the viral picture on June 8, 2025, and wrote in the caption, “What do you have to say about this?”

Investigation
To verify the authenticity of the viral image, we closely examined it. We noticed inconsistencies in Shrinate’s facial structure. It appeared unnatural. This raised suspicions that the image might have been AI-generated.
We decided to check the picture with AI image detection tools.
We first searched the image with the help of Hive Moderation Tool. It showed a 99 percent probability of the photo being AI-generated.
We also searched this picture with the help of another tool, SightEngine. This tool showed a 99 percent probability of the photo being AI-generated.
We shared the viral post with Azahar Machwe, an expert in AI technology, who confirmed that the image is AI-generated.
Finally, we scanned the account of X user ‘Santosh Singh ’ who shared the fake image. We found that the user is followed by more than 700 people.
Conclusion: Vishvas News found in its investigation that this picture of Vijay Mallya and Supriya Shrinate has been created with Artificial Intelligence (AI).
