New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video is circulating on social media showing a man being publicly executed by hanging from a bulldozer. The clip is being shared in the context of rising Israel-Iran tensions, with claims that Iran has arrested several Jews suspected of spying for Mossad and executed them in this brutal manner.
However, Vishvas News, in its investigation, revealed that the viral video is a scene from a movie. The footage from a film shoot is being misleadingly shared with false claims of public executions in Iran over spying for Mossad.
What’s In The Viral Claim?
A Facebook user shared the post on July 1, 2025, and wrote, “Around 7,000 Jews live in Iran, all of whom are patriots of their country. Iranian Jews hold high-ranking positions in Iran’s military, including two generals, and one even serves as a cabinet minister. However, after the war with Israel ended, the Iranian Islamic regime has arrested over 700 Iranian Jews—nearly 10% of Iran’s Jewish population—falsely accusing them of being ‘Mossad agents’ and publicly hanging them from cranes. Where are the human rights activists???”

Investigation
To verify the claim, we first conducted a Google Lens search using the key frames of the viral video. The search led us to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by an account named ‘Iranian Arabic’, which shared the same video on June 29, 2025 with similar claims. In the comments, a user pointed out that the clip was from a movie shoot.
Following this lead, we found the video uploaded on a YouTube channel named ‘Alireza Donyadide’. The description, dated April 16, 2024, clarified that the scene was part of a stunt sequence for a film.
Alireza Donyadide’s YouTube channel identifies him as a stunt performer in movies, and we found several similar clips on his page.
For further confirmation, we contacted Iranian journalist Fateme Karim Khan, who confirmed that while the video has been circulating in Iran as well, it is indeed from a movie and not real footage.
A June 17 CNN report stated: “Iran has arrested dozens of people suspected of espionage, as concerns grow over infiltration by Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency in the Islamic Republic.”
Similarly, France 24 English reported on June 26, 2025: “Iran hanged three people on June 25 convicted of spying for Israel, bringing the total number of executions on such charges to six since the war between Israel and Iran began.”
This is not the first time misinformation has spread regarding the Israel-Iran conflict. Earlier, a photo falsely claiming an Indian was arrested in Iran for spying for Mossad also went viral, and Vishvas News debunked that claim.
The Facebook user sharing the fake post has around 4,500 followers.
