New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video showing a fire at a firecracker shop is circulating on social media, with users claiming it depicts a recent incident in Jaipur. The footage captures individuals attempting to remove goods as firecrackers explode in the background.
Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the viral video dates back to 2024, when a fire broke out in a firecracker shop in Sadar Bazaar, Hyderabad.

Facebook user ‘Rajesh Gurjar Sandeda’ uploaded a video on October 19, 2025, with the caption, “Live! A fire broke out in a firecracker shop in Jaipur today, causing significant damage.”

Investigation
Using Google Lens to search keyframes from the video, we found it uploaded on the official YouTube channel of The New Indian Express. The video, uploaded on October 28, 2024, reported a massive fire at a firecracker shop in Hyderabad, in which a woman was injured.
We also found a related report on thehindu.com, published on October 28, 2024, confirming the incident. The screenshots of the viral video were included in the report.
A separate fire incident was reported in Jaipur on October 21, 2025, but it involved a furniture and fiber shop in a residential area, not a firecracker shop. The viral video is unrelated to that event.
Vishvas News contacted Hyderabad-based journalist Harsha, who confirmed that the viral video is from Hyderabad, where a massive fire broke out at a firecracker shop in 2024.
In the final phase of our investigation, we conducted a social media scan of the user who shared the video and found that the user identified himself as a resident of Jaipur and has around 4000 followers.
