New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is circulating widely on social media. In the clip, he can be purportedly heard citing the persecution of minorities in Bangladesh, demanding PM Narendra Modi’s resignation if he cannot attack Bangladesh. He can also be heard threatening Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir.

Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that this is a deepfake video, edited with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In the original video, Yogi Adityanath raised the issue of atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, but he did not say the things that are being claimed in the viral video.

What is going viral?

Instagram user imamganj__ shared the viral video (archive link) on December 25, 2025. In the video, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath can be allegedly heard saying in Hindi, (Translated) “If Bangladesh hadn’t been carved out of Pakistan, Hindus wouldn’t be burnt like this… Prime Minister Modi ji, if you cannot attack Bangladesh, then step down from your post. We religious soldiers will reclaim Bangladesh as part of Akhand Bharat… This is all orchestrated by Pakistan’s Asim Munir… our order is to harm him so Pakistan stays within its limits.”

Investigation

To investigate this post, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. We did not find any such statement from Yogi Adityanath regarding PM Modi anywhere.

Later, we started looking for the original video of Yogi Adityanath. We checked the keyframes of the viral video. We found this complete video on the ANI Bharat YouTube channel on December 25, 2025. This was a recording of CM Yogi’s speech during the Winter Session of the UP Assembly. In the original address, he questioned the ‘hypocritical silence’ of certain political groups regarding Bangladesh, but made no mention of the Prime Minister resigning.

We also found several news reports regarding CM Yogi’s speech during the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. None of the reports mentioned anything related to the viral video.

Continuing our investigation, we carefully examined the video. The lip-sync in the viral video is not correct. Also, the audio does not sound like CM Yogi’s voice. We suspected that this video might have been edited using AI.

Buffalo University’s detection tool, Deepfake-o-meter, indicated the possibility of AI manipulation in the video with 5 detectors.

The AI detection tool Truth Scan indicated a 98% probability that the audio was AI-generated.

For confirmation, we contacted our partner, the Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU), an initiative of the Trusted Information Alliance (TIA). The team checked the video on the Swiss deep-tech company Aurigin.ai. The tool indicated a 98% confidence score for the audio track being partially A.I.-generated.

We also spoke to Azhar Machwe, who works in AI and emerging technologies, for confirmation. He also confirmed that the video was created with the help of AI.

Dipu Chandra Das Murder Case in Bangladesh

The viral video exploits the ongoing tension following the brutal murder of Deepu Chandra Das, a 27-year-old Hindu man in Bangladesh’s Mymensingh district. This incident sparked global outrage and led India’s Ministry of External Affairs to call for the protection of minorities under the Vienna Convention.

The Instagram user, imamganj__, who shared the viral video, has over 12000 followers.

Conclusion: Vishvas News found in its investigation that the viral video is a deepfake. CM Yogi Adityanath’s original speech focused on the safety of Hindus and political accountability; the demands for the PM’s resignation and threats to the Pakistani Army Chief are fabricated and AI-generated.
