Fact Check: Congress Leader Targeted BJP During His Meeting With Rahul Gandhi In Delhi Over The Problems Of Traders.

A delegation of traders met with Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, where they criticised the policies of the BJP government. That video is being shared with a false claim.

New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video of Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Member of Parliament, is going viral on social media. In the video, he can be seen discussing with some people. One person present there tells him that an atmosphere has been created in the country where businessmen are branded as ‘thieves’, creating an atmosphere of fear among them. Some users are sharing this video, claiming that some businessmen in Germany have told Rahul that he is responsible for this atmosphere in the country.

Vishvas News investigated and found that a delegation of traders led by Congress leader Mudit Agarwal met with Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. During the meeting, he made these remarks, targeting the BJP. He did not hold Rahul Gandhi responsible. The video is being shared with a false claim.

What is the viral post?

Facebook user ‘Right to Equality’ posted the video on December 25, 2025, writing, “Some businessmen in Germany gave Pappu Charsi a very effusive treatment. They said that a businessman puts his entire life at stake in business, his family’s wealth, and takes full risks. He puts his entire life at stake. However, in the last few years, some people have created an atmosphere in the country that businessmen are thieves, corrupt businessmen. Just look at Pappu Charsi’s face, as if he’s been caught red-handed picking pockets. And this is absolutely true. When a businessman’s business collapses, his employees immediately find jobs elsewhere. In the last few years, if a businessman has gone bankrupt or gone bankrupt for any reason, conduct a survey and see if the employees are affected. The employees immediately submit their resumes to naukri.com or elsewhere and get a job. But see what happens to the businessman and his family. Rahul Gandhi has branded the entire business community as thieves, corrupt, and bloodsuckers. Rahul Gandhi follows the same script as Rahul Gandhi. However, in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, businessmen were shown in Hindi films.”

Investigation

To verify the viral claim, a keyframe of the video was taken and searched using Google Lens. A related news report was published on Dainik Jagran’s website on December 25. According to it, “A delegation of Agarwal Vaishya Small Industries Trade and MSME, led by former Delhi Congress Vice President Mudit Agarwal, met Rahul Gandhi at Parliament House. During this, they presented the problems related to traders to him. They said that at present there is an atmosphere of fear among the traders and the BJP’s policies are against the interests of small and medium traders.” A keyframe of the video has also been uploaded to the news.

A video of this meeting was also posted on the Madhya Pradesh Congress Facebook page on December 25. It reads, “Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi met members of the Vaishya community during a business dialogue and listened to their problems.

The Modi government’s monopoly and flawed GST have left no stone unturned in ruining businesses. This is a direct attack on production, employment, and India’s future. Our fight is against this feudal thinking of the BJP government, and we will fight it with all our might.”
