Vishvas News’ investigations reveal the footage actually captures a Youth Congress demonstration held in New Delhi on February 10, 2026.

Facebook user ‘Mayazul M’ posted the viral video on February 13, 2026, with the caption, “Modi must be uprooted. The riot in Gujarat is against Modi.”

Investigation
Vishvas News first carefully scanned the viral video. We noticed two things: The video features flags belonging to the Youth Congress and a watermark for Loktantra TV.
A search of Loktantra TV’s archives confirmed the report was uploaded on February 10, 2026. The original context was a march organised to ‘surround the PM’s residence’ in the capital.
News outlets like Mid-day reported on this specific event, placing the protesters at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, not Gujarat.
We found the original video on the account of a Facebook user named ‘Dev Chaudhary’. The video, uploaded on February 10, 2026, is claimed to be from Delhi and depicts several Congress workers setting out to surround the Prime Minister’s residence.
Vishvas News contacted Dev Chaudhary, who confirmed that the viral video is from Delhi, not Gujarat. The protest took place on February 10, 2026.
Lastly, we scanned the Facebook profile of the user who shared the fake post and found that the account was created on January 20, 2026, and the user has 5000 followers.
