Fact Check: Grand Statue Of Akhilesh Yadav Is Not Being Built In Lucknow, AI-Generated Image Viral With Fake Claim

New Delhi (Vishvas News). An image depicting the construction of a grand statue of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav is circulating widely on social media. The photo is being shared with the false claim that the statue is being built in Lucknow.
Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the viral claim was fake. In fact, the viral image is not real but synthetic, which has been created with the help of AI tools.
What is going viral?
Facebook user ‘Shiva Yadav‘ shared the viral picture on September 12, 2025, and wrote in the caption, “Akhilesh Yadav is not just a name but a brand. A grand statue of the PDA leader is being built in Lucknow.”

Investigation
We began our investigation by performing a Google search for news reports related to the claim. We did not find any news reports pertaining to the claim.
We also searched the official social media accounts of Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav . We did not find any posts related to the claim there either.
The lack of any official information led us to suspect the image could be AI-generated. We used AI detection tools to analyse the photograph.
When we uploaded the image to Hive Moderation, the tool indicated a near 100% probability that the photo was created by AI.
Another AI detection tool, ‘undetectable,’ also scanned the image and concluded that it was likely generated by artificial intelligence.
We contacted AI expert Azhar Machwe for more information. He confirmed that the viral image was created using AI. The expert pointed out unnatural body structures in the image, such as a person in yellow clothing with an indistinct body form, which are common flaws in AI-generated pictures.
Finally, we scanned the account of the user who shared the photo with the false claim. The user is followed by about 2.5 thousand people.
Conclusion: Vishvas News found in its investigation that the image of a statue of Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is fake. The picture is not a real photograph but a synthetic image prepared with the help of AI tools.
