Fact Check: Viral Video Claiming Mossad Headquarters Was Blown Up Is AI-Generated
The video and pictures going viral with the claim that the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad was completely destroyed in Iran’s attack are not real but AI-created. It is worth noting that after June 13, Iran and Israel have been continuously attacking each other.

New Delhi (Vishvas News). Israel targeted Iran’s nuclear installations and military bases under Operation ‘Rising Lion’, in response to which Iran also retaliated against Israel. Amidst this ongoing military conflict between the two countries, Indian social media users are sharing a video claiming that Iran has destroyed the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. In the viral video, a building named Mossad can be seen being destroyed.
Vishvas News found this claim to be false in its investigation. The video going viral is not real but AI-created. Many news reports have claimed that Iran has targeted the Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv. However, Israel has denied this claim.
What is viral?
Sharing the viral video, the Facebook user wrote, “Israel was boasting about Mossad to the whole world that my intelligence agency Mossad is very powerful Iran blew the entire Mossad headquarters out of the air with a single hypersonic missile.”
Investigation
The post-blast events in the video seem unnatural, raising suspicions of AI generation. To verify this, we put the video through various AI detector tools. Multiple detectors from Buffalo University’s Deepfake-o-meter confirmed that the video was AI-created.
The analysis report of AVSRDD (2025) detectors confirms that this video is 100 percent created by AI.
AltFreezing (2023) analysis confirms 64% of this video to be AI-based, LSDA (2024) analysis reports 70% of this video to be AI-based, TALL (2023) detector detects 100% of this video to be AI-based, and WAV2LIP-STA (2022) detects 76% of this video to be AI-based.
For further verification, we contacted our partner, Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU), an initiative of MCA. The DAU team analysed the video using other tools, which confirmed that it is likely to be AI-generated.
The wasitAI tool confirms that this multimedia is likely to be created by AI. Hive AI also confirms that this video is likely to be created by AI. According to the analysis, this video is likely to be created mid-journey.
Another tool ‘Is It AI’ also confirms the possibility of this multimedia being made of AI.
Viral picture
The building seen in this picture has ‘MOSAD’ written on it, which is wrong. According to the information available on the Mossad website, the actual name of the Israeli intelligence agency is ‘MOSSAD’.
This picture, looks unnatural and AI-generated. To verify, we analysed the photo using multiple platforms: Wasitai, Isitai.com, and several detectors within Buffalo University’s Deepfake-O-Meter indicated a high probability of this photo being AI-generated.
Regarding the viral claim, we contacted senior Indian TV journalist Madhurendra Kumar who is in Israel. He confirmed that the claim of Mossad headquarters being completely destroyed in Iran’s attack is false.
The user who shared the viral video with the fake claim is followed by around 11,000 people on Facebook and content inspired by a particular ideology is shared from this profile.
It is noteworthy that Israel has targeted Iran’s nuclear plants and military bases under ‘Operation Rising Lion’. After this, Iran has also retaliated and attacked many Israeli bases with missiles. In this ongoing conflict between the two countries, Iran has claimed to have destroyed Israel’s Mossad headquarters, which Israel has rejected.
NDTV news report quoted Israeli army as saying that Iran’s missile targeted bus parking. Both countries have been attacking each other since June 13.
Vishvas News does not confirm the claim about the extent of damage caused to Mossad headquarters in Iran attack, but we do confirm that the video and image going viral with this claim is not real but AI-created.
