Fact Check: No, Living Dinosaurs Aren’t Found In Brazil, Viral Video Does Not Show Real Triceratops

New Delhi (Vishvas News): A video going viral on social media shows some people trying to control an animal looking like a dinosaur. The claim alongside the video states that a dinosaur is found in the jungles of Brazil.
Vishvas News investigated and found the claim to be fake. We found that the animal seen in the video is a replica of a dinosaur in Mojosami Forest Park, Indonesia and is operated by humans.
In the viral post, some people can be seen trying to control an animal looking like a dinosaur. The post reads, “Breaking: Brazilian authorities have caught a live triceratops while cutting down the rainforest.”
Vishvas News started investigating by extracting the screengrabs of the video using the InVID tool. We then performed Google reverse image of the screenshots. We found the exact same video on Mojosemi Forest Park’s Instagram account. Mojosami Forest Park is an amusement park in Indonesia.
We contacted Nanang Sedayu, the in-charge of the Mojosemi Forest Park administration for confirmation. He explained, “It is not a real dinosaur, but a replica operated by humans. It is a suit that 2, 3 people wear and operate. It was brought to the park to promote a new ride. “
The Twitter handle who shares this post has 4,548 followers.
Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated and found the claim to be fake. We found that the animal seen in the video is a replica of a dinosaur in Mojosami Forest Park, Indonesia and is operated by humans.
