Fact Check: Video Of Rahul Gandhi And His Niece Miraya Goes Viral With False And Objectionable Claims

New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video of Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is currently going viral on various social media platforms. In the video, he can be seen with a young woman. Some social media users are targeting Rahul Gandhi by making the video viral with objectionable claims.
Vishvas News investigated the matter in detail. The claim was found to be completely baseless and objectionable. The young woman seen with Rahul in the video is his niece, Miraya Vadra, the daughter of his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
What is going viral
On November 12, an X user named Arun Yadav posted a video of Rahul Gandhi.
Wrote, “56-year-old flag leader of Congress has been seen with a young woman abroad.”

Investigation
Vishvas News first conducted a keyword search to find out about the viral video of Rahul. We found a video report on the News 24 YouTube channel, stating that the viral video of Rahul dates back to September 2025, in which his niece accompanied him.
Vishvas News further investigated and scanned the social media handles of the Congress party and its spokespersons. We found a post by Congress national spokesperson Supriya Shrinate dated November 13, 2025. In this X post, Shrinate stated that the viral video of Rahul with his niece is from September 2025.
Upon searching, we also found this video dated October 13, 2025. An X-handle named ‘RG Chronicle’ claimed this video was from London’s Heathrow Airport.
Vishvas News further investigated and contacted Girish Kumar, a member of the Congress’s social media team, who confirmed that the young woman seen with Rahul is his niece, Miraya Vadra.
In the next phase of its investigation, Vishvas News compared the photo of Miraya with the woman seen in the viral video and found them to be identical. This confirmed that the woman seen with Rahul in the viral video is indeed Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s daughter.
Lastly, we analysed the X account of the user Arun Yadav and discovered that the user has over 66000 followers and is a resident of Gurugram. This account was created in November 2022.
Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated and found the viral post to be false and objectionable. The viral video shows Rahul Gandhi with his niece Miraya Vadra. However, some users on social media are targeting Rahul Gandhi by spreading the video with objectionable and false claims.
