New Delhi (Vishvas News): A video is going viral on social media showing a person making a coconut appear to float in the air. The thread attached to the coconut can be seen in the video. Users claim that Kuldeep Mishra performed this act live on a news channel, supposedly using mantras, but the camera accidentally captured the thread.
Vishvas News investigated the claim and found it to be fake. This video is from News Nation’s show ‘Operation Pakhand’, which was made to expose fake miracles. The thread was deliberately shown to demonstrate how people can be misled with such tricks.
What is in the viral post?
Facebook user ‘Abid Malik’ shared the viral post on March 22, 2025, with the caption, “Miracles have stopped happening since the invention of cameras. This is Kuldeep Mishra – on a live news TV channel, he made a coconut fly in the air with the power of mantras. Only those who watch till the end will see this miracle. Understand.”

Investigation
To begin our investigation, we first extracted key frames from the video and conducted a Google Lens search. This led us to the News Nation’s YouTube channel, where the video was uploaded on March 21, 2025, as part of the show ‘Operation Pakhand’.
Additionally, the video includes a disclaimer, stating: “Operation Pakhand’ is News Nation’s campaign against superstition. News Nation’s aim is not to hurt anyone’s sentiments or faith, but the aim is to warn you against those who show miraculous powers. News Nation does not promote any kind of superstition.”
In this 43.19-minute video, the viral clip appears between 28.48 and 30.05 minutes. After watching the full video, we found that anchor Rohit Ranjan interviews the ‘alleged miracle baba’ Dayanand Maharaj, who claims he can make a coconut float. To debunk this, magician Kuldeep Mishra demonstrates the trick by tying the coconut with a thread and making it appear to be floating.
During our investigation, we found a related post on News Nation’s X handle, uploaded on March 25, 2025. The post states, “Some people on social media are making a clip of News Nation’s show ‘Operation Pakhand’ viral in the wrong context. The clip shows a coconut flying in the air. Let us tell you that in the studio, guest magician Kuldeep Mishra has tried to show how some people fool innocent people by doing such miracles by flying a coconut in the air through his act. The thread with which the coconut was flown in the air was deliberately shown by the channel, so that people can understand the reality of fake babas. Later, magician Amar showed a lemon flying in the air in the same way with the help of a thread.”
To verify the viral video, we contacted News Nation’s Digital Head, Manoj Sharma. He confirmed that this clip is from the program ‘Operation Pakhand’, where a thread was deliberately tied with the coconut to expose deceptive practices and prevent the promotion of superstition.
Lastly, we scanned the Facebook profile of the user ‘Abid Malik’ who shared the fake post and found that the user has over 8000 followers.
