Vishvas News’ investigation revealed that the viral video of mass cheating during a law examination in Uttar Pradesh in February 2024 is being falsely circulated with claims that it is from the UPSC examination.

New Delhi (Vishvas News): A video showing mass cheating during an examination is going viral on social media, claiming to be from the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam.

Vishvas News investigated the claim and found that the video depicts an incident from ‘City Law College in Barabanki’, where mass cheating was exposed during a law examination in February 2024.

What is the viral post?

A Facebook user named Abhi Ghosh posted the viral video on March 23, 2025, with the caption, “IAS Exam centres of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand !!! The future of Indian governance”.

The video features an individual walking through classrooms in a college, where students are seen copying from books after receiving their question papers. The person behind the camera can be heard making claims, saying, “City Law College Barabanki, look at the guide, look at the guide, the question papers have been distributed. Let’s go to the next room, live from City Law College Barabanki, straight to cheating. Uttar Pradesh government is giving uttar (answers) first. Everyone has a study guide. Don’t say anything, you are live. Cheating is happening, it’s 9:30 am. Come, let me show you how the government is working to stop corruption. Look at the question paper, look at the study guide. Corruption is happening continuously in the college. There are not just 2-4 study guides, but the whole college is cheating with study guides. DM sahab is live.
