New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video of a woman floating in water is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, it can be seen that the woman’s body is floating in the water, and a small child is pulling her. It is being claimed that this video is of the flood in Punjab. The child lost his mother due to the flood, and now he is trying to pull her body out of the water.
Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the viral claim is false. The Viral video is scripted. Aarti Gangwar, a social media creator from Jehanabad, Uttar Pradesh, shared this video on her profile, which people are now making viral with a false claim.
What is going viral?
Facebook user ‘Satyamev Jayate‘ shared the viral video on September 8, 2025, with the caption, “This child does not even know whether his mother is alive or not…! It just keeps dragging on. The situation in Punjab has become very bad. The floods have caused terrible devastation. The government is busy with elections. If you can’t do anything, then just pray for Punjab.”
Investigation
To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we extracted several key frames from the video and searched them using Google reverse image search. This led us to a post related to the claim on the account of Instagram user ‘adv.amitsgnr’. The post was shared on 8 September 2025. In the post, the woman is described as a content creator named Aarti Gangwar, a resident of Pilibhit, who shares similar fake videos.
Based on the information received, we started searching Aarti Gangwar’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts. We found many videos similar to the viral video on the accounts.
For more information, we contacted the SHO of Pilibhit’s Jehanabad, Pradeep Kumar Bishnoi, who confirmed that the woman seen in the video is content creator Aarti Gangwar, a resident of Jehanabad. This video was going viral with misleading information for a long time. We have deleted the video and explained to the girl.
